A daily habit, grown in joy

I have always been driven by discipline. Daily habits, routines, goals: for years I wanted to build an app around them, and I built it the only way I knew, from a work-hard, play-hard mindset. Everything was effort.

Then a friend introduced me to a small daily trivia game. It took two minutes. Every day my friends and I, scattered across different countries, played the same questions and posted our results in our WhatsApp group. I started to look forward to it each morning. Without noticing, we were talking every single day, and we grew closer.

That is when it clicked. The habits that last are not the ones you force; they are the ones you look forward to, and the ones you share.

Mustard Seed is that idea turned toward faith. Five questions a day about Scripture, the saints, Jesus and Mary, and the teaching of the Church. A few minutes with the day’s readings. A result to share with the people you love. Small things, done every day.

Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed: the smallest of all seeds, which grows into a tree where the birds of the air come to rest. That is our hope for everyone who plays: that a small daily seed grows into something that shelters others.
